My oldest daughter Debbie was having a bipolar episode. She was taken into custody by the police and checked into Puget Sound Behavioral Health Hospital in Tacoma for treatment.
Without seeking the advice of any doctors, a nurse gave Debbie a "medical cocktail" that had never been given to any patient at the hospital. After the nursing staff knocked Debbie out, they put Debbie in a locked room on a mattress on the floor. There were no medical records showing that any nurse or doctor ever evaluated or checked up on Debbie that whole night. The next morning she was dead. She suffocated to death.
There is nothing worse than the death of a child and it almost destroyed me. I didn't know what happened at that hospital but I knew something was wrong. Thad jumped on the case right away and found the smoking gun documents that proved that the hospital was responsible for Debbie death and that the hospital even tried to cover the circumstances of her death up. I never had to worry about a thing during the lawsuit because Thad walked us through everything, step by step. Thad settled the case for a million dollars, but besides that we held that hospital responsible and caused the hospital to institute real changes so that this does not happen to another disabled person. Debbie's death was not in vain.
"I never had to worry about the case. Thad kept us in the loop all the way through. We recovered almost half a million dollars. The best way I can describe the service that I got from Thad is by comparing it to the service that is provided at Microsoft, simply the best, hands down."
